The shadows were lengthening across Emerald Bay in late autumn.Ý From the southern vista point we learned that tea was served in the teahouse mid-afternoon on the picturesque island.Ý What a romantic event almost a century ago.Ý As I looked through the pines, my imagination looked back through the years to this ritual practiced by the wealthy widow, Lora J. Knight, who sailed from her Vikingsholm ìCastleî on shore to tea on her island.Ý The ìlook throughî composition seemed right for this interpretation ofÝ the story and of this breathtaking view of the lake.
