The gorges on the Sonora
Pass in the High Sierras are all an inspiration to any landscape
painter. But to one who is wild about "rocks and water", itís dangerous
to be driving ‚ every turn in the road presents an exciting new
composition. In "Shadow Brook" it was the play of light and resulting
variety of shadow shapes on the weathered and fractured forms that
called for yet another treatment of this favored area of the High
Country.
