I had been told by the gallery owner in Mendocino that just down the highway from town was this paintable private scenic cove. She had been inspired by it in her painting and felt that I would like it too. It was hidden from the road and required trekking down a slippery overgrown trail to the beach. It was everything she said it would be. I returned at sundown and was awe-inspired by the tranquil mood of shining water and shadowed bluffs and beach.
