Mendocino has been our favorite family vacation site since 1974 when I taught workshops at the Art Center.Ý While I have been primarily a hill and mountain painter, with yearly exposure to the coastal scene, I am finally beginning to widen my field of vision.Ý The setting sun created amazing tone and color patterns on the dunes and bluffs, and this was new for me.Ý It was exciting to paint them and there will be more coastal landscapes I am sure.
