This site is just below the lodge at Tuolumne Meadows; it is on the Dana Fork of that river. The lodge consists of tent cabins, restroom/shower room, and a cafeteria. A wonderful retreat in the Sierra High Country. Just above the lodge is a picturesque cascade that, in the spring, can be heard thundering all through the lodge. Below the cascades the stream flattens and flows between rocky islands. I suppose I have painted these islands from every possible angle - “Rest Stop” is one view of this gorgeous site.
